Well this weeks recipe was chocolate cup cakes! We don't celebrate Halloween so we decided to decorate them in a "fallish" style with pumpkins and leaves. I would not make them again as they were very dry and the frosting was way to bitter tasting, I'm not sure if we did something wrong or what but it did not taste good at all:( We are really looking forward to the next weeks recipes. Hope the cup cakes turned out better for everyone else!

Oh, it's too bad they didn't taste good, since they look so pretty! Maybe your chocolate was just too bitter? Next week's cookies do look delish!

oh my gosh.. a mishap in the kitchen. How unfortunate. BEtter luck with the next recipe. Consolation is still that the cuppies u made are so pretty!

Like the way they look even if you think they taste horrible. Im just glad you were all able to post a blog this week! I chose spider webs for my cupcakes!
Didn't love these cupcakes either, but they were okay. The friends who ate them really liked them. I'm not so much a bittersweet chocolate girl. I'm sure that's why you didn't care for them either. They weren't sweet enough.

I'm sorry you did not like yours. Maybe next time substitute the bitter chocolate with just semi-sweet. I don't care for the bitter either! But your CC's look fabulously delicious!

Its the bitter sweet chocolate. I used semi sweet and they were much better. They are adorable cakes tho. Little dry, but not bad on my end. Nice job.

I'm not bittersweet fan either so altered mine quite a bit. Yours look great though.
try semisweet chocolate instead... dorie seems to like to use bittersweet chocolate in everything but i don't care for it.
