TWD~ Chocolate Malted Whopper Sandwich Cookies!

Well as you can see from the picture we decided to make an ice cream sandwich out of it! We had some vanilla ice cream in the freezer and thought that since they were sooooooo chocolaty that a little ice cream in between would really help out;0 ) Then it looked a little bare so what could we do but add some chucks of a dark chocolate bar we had laying in the pantry! It was scrumptious! We were not really excited about trying these cookies because we(us girls) do not like Malt or Whoppers. So we thought we would make them and just feed them to our brothers, they really liked them! We braved it and took a bite and were very surprised on how much we liked them. Oh and I almost forgot to mention we put in white chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate, it was a very nice variation since there was already soooo much chocolate flavor. I would not say these are my favorite cookie but one we will most likely make again!

Like the cookie isn't enough....or the ice cream sandwich isn't enough... you go over the top and add chunks of dark chocolate on the sides. Man. I'll be right over.

Little brothers are perfect for feeding them the things you don't really like, but at least in this case they got a pretty good deal. You two really dressed these cookies to the nines!

ok, you've convinced me to have them with ice cream! I have some Whopper Drops left, and think I'll definitely have to buy some ice cream on the way home tonight! Love the white chocolate idea--I think I'll try that next time too!

I hate Whoppers as well because they hurt my teeth, but they softened in the cookies and now I can't stop eating them! Glad you were daring and tried one. And the white chocolate chips are a great sub because like you said, there's already enough chocolate!

That is a fabulous idea! Ice cream sounds like the perfect way to cut the richness of the cookies. I imagine they would be great with mint chip ice cream, too!

Aren't these cookies a perfect match for ice cream...great job on the ice cream sandwiches! Glad you forged ahead even though you're not malt fans and enjoyed them.
