The other afternoon, my sister and I had fun changing a Cranberry Almond scone recipe into something a little more exotic:-) Try it out!

"Not Your Average Scone"
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa powder
1T. baking powder
1/2t. salt
1/3-1/2 c. sugar
2T butter
3T. peanut butter
1t. vanilla
1/2c. chocolate chips
1/2c. Rees Pb cups chopped up
2/3 c. chocolate or regular milk
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Cut int he butter and Pb till there are only small chunks (meal consistency) Mix in the Pb cups and chocolate chips. Stir in milk and vanilla just till combined. Shape
into 2- 6in circles. Approx 3/4in. thick. Cut each circle into 6 wedges. ( I chopped up a few extra Rees cups and put them on top!) Bake at 350 for 10-13min. Cool and serve!

What a great idea to turn it more dessert-like! I like the peanut butter cup addition.
Oh....my....gosh!!!!! I am so addicted to scones and I am obsessed with the peanut butter/chocolate combo. Must make these ASAP!!!

Now that looks awesome. I definately have to copy THIS recipe for a later time. I have really been looking for a good scone recipe and this is right up my alley.
