The 2 week Challenge!

For the next two weeks Hannah and I will be on a gluten and dairy free diet, not by choice but by the doctors orders:( Over the past 4 years we have both come to realize that our bodies do not feel very well if having large amounts of dairy, when we told the doctor that he informed us that if someone is lactose intolerant that most likely they have a sensitivity to gluten as well! So that's how our adventure begins. Yesterday was our first day of being deprived of gluten and dairy....... we decided to buy a gluten free bread mix (Pamala's if you want to try it) and it turned out amazing and tastes remarkably better then the pre-made store bought gluten free bread. On the dairy end of things we have discovered a fabulous alternative for half and half that we use in our coffee it called 'Coconut Milk Creamer', the brand name is 'Soy Delicious' Original Flavor. Being foodies we have really good tastes buds, but using this new creamer we can't detect a flavor difference between the nondairy and diary half and half! Just this past week we have tried 'Luna and Larry's Coconut Bliss' brand ice cream and also 'Soy Delicious', the flavors we enjoyed were Chocolate Walnut brownie and Vanilla Bean. We haven't been able to eat ice cream in about 4 years, so finding this tasty dairy free stuff was really nice!
These are our adventures so far, stay tuned for more delectable gluten and dairy free treats!

Have a great week!

You should try almond ice cream (the brand might be Almond Dream, but I'm not sure). It's amazing and tastes just like regular ice cream! Also SO Delicious brand coconut milk ice cream is very good, but less like "normal" ice cream than the almond.

King Arthur Flour Gluten Free mixes have been our favorite for a while now...:D :D
They have brownie, pancake, bread, cookie, muffin, and pizza mixes that all taste AMAZING!
Oh, and if you like yogurt, So Delicious has a whole coconut milk yogurt line at Whole foods that tastes just like regular dairy! Its great mixed with GF granola and fresh fruit for breakfast!

Have fun experimenting!!...(and let me know if I can help ya'll with any more GF suggestions...)
Miss ya'll!!!!
